Without a doubt one of the most exciting, innovative electronic music producers and live artist’ gripping the underground electronic music circuit the moment, Jlin cannot be defined by music genre or how danceable her productions are. The raw energy from her live set on the SonarLab stage at Sónar by Night on Friday this year was mind blowing. An injection of sonic soundscapes lifted a room full of Sónar’s more perceptive minds.
“My creative process is really, feel. Feeling is most important when i’m creating.” Says Jlin. “Every song has its own energy. I think it’s really important that every song has a life of its own not just oh Jlin made it so it has this particular type of feel to it.”
It’s clear that the diversity and complexity of Jlin’s productions come from a place of deeper musical understanding without boundaries or creative limitations, championing Native Instruments Komplete 11 as being her go to production software simply for the percussion palette and the vast array of instruments and midi controllers.
